Work Philosophy

All Wish You Know activities are informed by Karen’s experiences working cross-culturally with individuals and groups from around the world.  They are rooted in practices of and training in mindfulness, self-care, restorative justice, nonviolence, trauma-awareness, and anti-racism with a focus on creating space for a diversity of identities and recognition of each individual’s wisdom and life experience.

Logistically this means, sessions include a balance of input, self-reflection, and pair or group sharing.  Sharing is always an option and never required in the group.  Those entering the space are expected to adhere to confidentiality and hold it as a brave and dedicated space.  Those who come are encouraged to bring a willingness to stretch as much as is safe mentally and emotionally for them, acknowledging that being uncomfortable is part of growth and are asked to carve out the space to be fully present.

While drop-in events have a set structure, all contracted experiences will be formed based on a pre-survey and/or pre-conferencing with those who will be participating.  This ensures the needs of the whole group and not just one point person are met through the space.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
